ESPN 'SportsCenter' anchor Stuart Scott dies after battle with cancer

Stuart Scott's moving speech about his cancer

Stuart Scott was the sports broadcaster that an entire generation of aspiring reporters wanted to be.

The veteran and energetic ESPN "SportsCenter" anchor has died after a years-long battle with cancer, the network said Sunday.
He was 49.
Scott spent the last 21 years on the air for ESPN, and his anchoring included coverage NFL, NBA and MLB games.
Viewers may remember him for his trademark catchphrases, such as, "Boo-yah" ... "He's as cool as the other side of the pillow" ... "He must be butter because he's on a roll" ... and "See, what had happened was ..."
His first diagnosis of stomach cancer came in November 2007, after he felt ill during a broadcast of "Monday Night Football," and ESPN said Scott "went through several surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation and clinical trials to stay strong and ward off cancer for as long as humanly possible."

Kanye West Releases New Song with Paul McCartney and It’s Perfect

Kanye West is wasting no time in the new year. This morning the rapper/singer/producer/fashion designer/all-capitals-tweeter/ex-backpack-wearer released a new single off of his upcoming album. “Only One” features Sir Paul McCartney on the keyboard and lyrics from the point of view of West’s late mother Donda, who died in 2007, sung to his and Kim Kardashian West’s one-year old daughter North.

According to the press release, West and McCartney began brainstorming together in 2014 in a “small bungalow in Los Angeles,” though it’s safe to say the bungalow probably wasn’t that small. The release continues, “The process that would result in ‘Only One’ began with a simple brainstorming session between the two: With McCartney improvising on the keyboards and Kanye vocally sketching and shaping ideas in a stream-of-consciousness riff.”

Our favorite boys performed their huge hit, “Steal My Girl” in L.A on Dec. 31, during ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve hosted by Ryan Seacrest, 40, and Jenny McCarthy, 42 — and of course their loving fans couldn’t have been more thrilled that the boys were back to sing a second song!
