Molly Shattuck headed to court Tuesday for
"plea by appointment." She will be sentenced in August and faces up to
15 years in prison.
Molly Shattuck, the estranged wife of former Constellation Energy CEO Mayo Shattuck, was indicted in November
in Delaware on nine counts: Two counts of third-degree rape, a Class B
felony in Delaware; four counts of unlawful sexual contact, a Class F
felony; and three counts of distributing alcohol to a minor, a
misdemeanor.
Court affidavits obtained by the WBAL-TV 11 News
I-Team said Molly Shattuck had sexual contact with a teenage boy. The
47-year-old mother of three is accused of performing oral sex on a boy
no older than her own children.
Molly Shattuck was scheduled to
appear in court on Wednesday, but the hearing Tuesday got put on the
schedule at the last minute as if one court observer there said it was
intended to keep her appearance under the radar. But that didn't happen.
Molly Shattuck pleaded guilty in Sussex County Delaware Court to one count of rape in the fourth degree, which is a felony.
"Ms. Shattuck has accepted full responsibility for her actions today," attorney Michelle Lipkowitz said.

The plea spares the teenage boy at the center of the case from having to testify. Molly Shattuck now admits she performed a sex act on him when he was 15 years old in a Bethany, Delaware, beach house she rented for her and her children last Labor Day weekend.
Molly Shattuck allegedly met the boy through her son.
Other charges that had been filed against Molly Shattuck, including providing alcohol to minors, have gone away.
"This is obviously a very difficult time. Therefore we ask you respect the privacy of all involved. It would not be appropriate for me to make any further comments at that time," Lipkowitz said.
Molly Shattuck's lawyer asked for a presentence investigation. She is a first-time offender, which works to her benefit in arguing to stay out of jail.
Under Delaware law, Molly Shattuck must register as a sex offender for 25 years, which would put her on the registry until she is 73 years old. She must also check in every six months with Delaware State Police.
